A-rod an owner?

Story out of the New York Magazine reports that A-Rod will opt out of his contract with the Yankees and sign a contract with the Cubs. The contact also would include a stipulation making Rodriguez part owner of the Cubs.

This is unbelievable! I am completely against the idea of a player/owner. In fact, I'm completely against A-Rod opting out of his New York contract and going to South Chicago. This is the last thing Yankee fans wanna hear about during a playoff chase. The Yankees are only a game and a half back as of Sunday in the AL East. With A-Rod being a potential MVP candidate, New York was ready to love him; well, that is until he chokes in the playoffs again. Alex should just stick to playing ball and leave managing the Cubs to someone else. Maybe Mark Cuban???
