Romeo Crennel's seat is already burning. If he has any hopes of saving of his job he might as well turn the reigns over to Quinn. Charlie Frye was traded to Seattle on Tuesday so now the only other option is Derek Anderson. The famous "Dog Pound" is now the term used for the Browns QB's rather than their infamous fans.
But honestly I don't think Quinn is much of a upgrade. I have this feeling that Quinn will turn into the next Rick Mirer or just another overrated player to come out of Notre Dame who turned out to be a bust. My personal rankings in the 2007 Draft at Quarterback were #1 JaMarcus Russell, #2 John Beck, #3 Drew Stanton and #4 Quinn. I wasn't surprised that the Dolphins passed up on Quinn at the 9th pick. Beck is just as good if not better. I watched the man many times throughout his career here at BYU and he is the real deal. Quinn is a question mark but it's time for him to get his chance so the Browns can figure out where their franchise is heading. They face another AFC North rival, this time it's their "friends" the Bengals. Quinn could do well against the Bengals average defense but don't plan on it.

One thing I do like about Quinn is his tantilizing sister, Laura Quinn (above). Who is married to Green Bay Packers Linebacker A.J. Hawk. She now goes by Laura Quinn-Hawk for those who are keeping track.
Where will Byron Leftwich end up?
Byron Leftwich is still on vacation waiting for a team to pick him up after the Jaguars opted to go with David Garrad as their starter. Leftwich probably got a chuckle on Sunday when the Jags lost to the Titans, 13-10 at Jacksonville.
But I really find this hard to believe that he is still available when a team like the Falcons has Joey Harrington at Quarterback! Joey freakin' Harrington! The guy who had billboards out in New York when he was at Oregon. I thought Bobby Petrino was a offensive guru? Doesn't he have an eye for talent? Get this guy on board! Maybe Leftwich is asking for too much but if you have any aspirations of winning at all get this man, because Harrington isn't gonna cut it. What bout the Chiefs? The Huard experiment is turning sour, very quick. The Chiefs got waxed by the lowly Texans; but the Texans could surprise people this year with Matt Schaub at trigger now.
Rumors are floating around that Baltimore is interested in Leftwich to back-up Steve McNair. Thus meaning Kyle Boller can say, "bye-bye!" This could be a good fit. My guess is that he will probably wind up landing here when it's all said and done.
Game of the Week: Chargers @ Patriots
"If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin!" That coming from the mouth of Chargers stud Running Back LaDainian Tomlinson who is salivating at the mouth to get revenge on the Patriots after last year's AFC Divisional Playoff game in San Diego. The Patriots of course are coming off of self-proclaimed, "Videogate." That gave hoodie-wearing, Bill Belichick a hefty $500K fine, and forfeiting their 2008 1st Round Draft Pick. Which is basically a slap on the wrist still, considering that Blichick makes $4 Million a year so it's not hurtin him too much.
This game which will be on NBC Sunday Night Football is going to be a dandy. This is one of those games that will have Playoff intensity from start-to-finish. This is a budding rivalry that is going to take off. And I expect LT and the Chargers to get revenge on the 'Pats pulling off the upset, 27-21.
That's it for right now on Week 2 of the NFL. Me and Patrick will be posting our picks later today.
